Najam Sethi, PCB management committee chairman, briefed PM Shehbaz on restoring departmental cricket and the 8th edition of the PSL. PM commended Sethi's efforts and encouraged him to continue working hard for the sport in Pakistan. Haroon Rasheed, chief selector, says that return of Amir and Malik is possible if they fit in current combination and can boost team's chances of winning a tournament. No specific strategy yet, but once panel is formed, a selection policy will be determined. Rasheed aligns with PCB chairman Sethi's stance that player selection should be based on performance.
