Double Triumph for Pakistan: Babar Azam Leads ICC's ODI Team of the Year, PCB Wins Rawalpindi appeal

#fastsports Babar Azam, the Pakistan captain, once again demonstrated his dominance in the ODI format. His performance solidified his position as the top-ranked player in the MRF Tyres ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings since July 2021. In the 9 matches he played this year, he scored 8 times more than 50 runs, with 3 of them being converted into hundreds. He ended the year with an outstanding 679 runs, averaging 84.87. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has overturned its "below average" rating for the Rawalpindi pitch in the first Test match between Pakistan and England in December 2022, following an appeal by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). This was the second such rating given to the venue, after the first Test between Pakistan and Australia in March 2022, where only 14 wickets fell across three innings, resulting in the "below average" rating. The ICC acknowledged that the pitch had some redeeming features, including the fact that 37 wickets fell during the match. This is the Official YouTube Channel of Fast Sports.
